The WiseOS safety layer provides an additional protective layer for all network traffic on your Wisephone, safeguarding your device from malware, ads, social media, gambling, and adult content.

Since the WiseOS safety layer runs locally on your device, we cannot see your Wisephone's web traffic, ensuring your data privacy.

Q: Why is WiseOS safety layer needed if there's no browser?

The Wisephone occasionally needs to display web content through what we call "web-views" - for example, when connecting to WiFi networks or using certain apps that require login pages. While these web-views are limited to single pages and don't allow free browsing, we still want to ensure every aspect of your device remains protected. The WiseOS safety layer helps keep these necessary web-views secure and filtered. And, even if a web-view isn’t in the picture, this protects and safeguards app you use.

Q: Is Techless able to see my internet traffic data?

Nope. Because this runs locally on your Wisephone, your internet traffic data is kept safe.

Keep in mind that internet traffic happens through every single app on your phone, so your whole device is protected and privacy kept safe.

Q: What happens if I was using an app that had its own VPN, such as Ever Accountable or Canopy?

Your VPN will switch from their VPN service to our WiseOS safety layer service. This means that it may appear to your accountability partner that your device is disconnected.

If your app had features like app blocking, that will continue to work as intended.

If you deeply rely on a VPN service from an app like Ever Accountable or Canopy, please contact support by going to “Settings” > “Contact Support” on your Wisephone.
